Sports Day 2019

As mentioned in previous newsletters, we shall be holding a whole school Sports Day taking place on Wednesday 17th July 1pm-3.15pm with gates opening to family members from 12:50pm. Sports day will focus solely on track races, both individual and team.

To start off our ‘sporty’ day we shall meet on the playground at 8:45am for a whole school wake and shake. Feel free to join in too! Children will need to come to school in appropriate PE kit including a top in their team colour. This shall hopefully put children in the ‘sporty spirit’ and will avoid any uniform being left behind at the end of the day.

To ensure we have as swift a start as possible, children will be having an early lunch that day. You may provide pack lunch or order hot as normal.

We are hoping this will be a fun day where all children can enjoy and experience a sport event together. Families are welcome to sit and spectate however are reminded that no photographs or recordings are to be taken on that day for safeguarding reasons.

Refreshments will be available with money raised going towards new play and sports equipment. We purchased a storage box and a variety of play time equipment with the money we raised last year, thank you for your generosity. If you are able to help on the stall or donate any baked goods please inform your child’s teacher.

Scarecrows – For those of you who have still intend to make a donation and take your child's scarecrow home, they will be available just inside the gate at the end of the school day on Sports Day. The rest will make a super permanent display in school.

Thank you.

Yours sincerely
